Radix Sort

Definition

Radix Sort rearranges numbers by comparing their individual digits rather than their whole values. For example radix sort, during one iteration, will sort all the values by the hundred column's digit. Such a style of sorting is useful for not just sorting numbers, but also dates and Strings. The radix sort algorithm can even alphabetize words.

Detailed Explanation

Radix Sort compares number either starting from their most significant digit (MSD) or least significant digit (LSD).
